Founded in 2001 by Jonathan Chase and his partner in life and business Jane Bregazzi we have attracted students from all over the world.

At the Academy we have built our reputation by delivering quality hypnosis learning experiences, earning respect and building lasting relationships with each person that comes to us.

In the tradition of our founder Jonathan Chase, we aim for simplicity and understanding and have formulated what we believe is a good and sustainable mission statement.

Mission Statement
To develop, demystify, promote, train and enhance the Art of Hypnosis for the good of society in general and its Artisans.

The Academy of Hypnotic Arts Limited has been formed for the purpose of providing a base for development through training and providing a service to business and on a personal level in the Art of Hypnosis and allied disciplines.

The Academy publishes and promotes the works of Jonathan Chase and any other of the Academy graduate members and acts as a professional umbrella and representational organisation for AHA students.

Our Standards

The Academy does not see itself as a presiding body constricting and constraining the use of hypnosis but does hope to promote the highest standards of respect for humanity within the work of those who use its name professionally or by association. Our bywords are Honesty, Integrity and of course Value for money.

Our training is reasonably priced considering the high standards, professional approach and personal attention we give and are kept within manageable limits of attendees and are structured so that the experience is intensely rewarding as well as informational.

Our materials and classes are fully accessible to those with different abilities and no one will be rejected by reason of academic, physical or other disabilities alone. We do not discriminate on the grounds of religion, ethnic background or gender.

Who we teach

It is our belief that almost anyone can learn to use hypnosis productively.

Other than being able to speak clearly and coherently and understand what is being said to you then there is little else in the way of requirements to learn to use hypnosis as an art.

Age is no real impediment, nor is background or social standing. A particular level of academic achievement is not a requirement.

Whether you are looking for a new career or to improve or add to the one you have, to supplement a retirement income, confirm a theory or to find a self employment which can be easily fitted into a hectic family life, becoming a hypnotist or gaining from the hypnotic art is accessible to you now.

Maybe you just need to discover whether everything you thought you knew about the way we work is real or maybe you want to discover things you never imagined possible. Whatever the reason for your learning we are happy to instruct and inform you in the only art which can give you all this and so much more.

Almost everyone is a hypnotist or has been hypnotised, the difference is that a trained hypnotist does this deliberately and with understanding and is a perfectly normal human being with no special gifts or particular talents other than understanding.

We don’t take you back to school to learn . . .

Everyone is unique and there is no substitute for personal attention. No two people have the same approach or needs. So if we want you to become successful in your chosen field we must give you successful, quality training.

We structure each individual programme around the individuals attending. With the Academy of Hypnotic Arts you won’t get lost in the crowd.

Our programmes are capped to maintain a student facilitator ration of about 5 / 1, and Jon does talk to and get to know you. With us you’re a person, not just a name tag and number.

We use the methods we teach – HAL hypnotic accelerated learning

Hypnosis has been proven to accelerate the intake of information and to make recall effortless. That means that a few days of training can be the equivalent of many more.

The secret is using hypnosis to teach hypnosis. We use what we teach and so will you. Recently a delegate who had been on several other courses remarked. “You come away from these courses on a high. You’ve made friends, learnt lots of stuff and then three days later you can only remember one thing and it’s back to the notes.” Jonathan ensures that your intake and recall of this hypnosis training is fast and easy and we back this up with unique audio and visual material plus life-time support. You won’t need to make notes or read for weeks.

Going back to being at school, how did you learn?

The way schools teach us is by repetition, repetition and more repetition. So okay, you remember some of the facts you had battered into your brain month after month but can you recall the actual work in the classroom? But now think back to school and think not of the classroom but the playground, now the specific memories come flooding back.

Children learn best and retain more of that learning when enjoying themselves at play, and it’s a fallacy to presume that as adults we need to learn in a different fashion.

So maybe we do take you back to school, not to the classroom but to the playground. Our hypnosis programmes are residential to give them a ‘holiday’ feel and as much is learnt in relaxed easy comfort in the evenings as during the day.
